About DATE Trainers
D.A.T.E. was founded in 2005 in London. The brand styles itself D.A.T.E. to reflect the initials of its young founders Damiano, Alessandro, Tommaso, and Emiliano.
After regular meet-ups in London, the young entrepreneurs decided to throw themselves into the ambitious project of creating their own range of sneakers. In the face of adversity, they eventually succeeded in producing their first collection of trainers using some old machinery in a crude and impromptu workshop. They worked tirelessly through the summer of 2005 to get the job done and pull through on their deliveries.
In January 2006, thanks to a favour from a friend, they obtained an invitation to display their work on a stand at Pitti Immagine Uomo. The craftsman's feel to their collection helped D.A.T.E to sell more than 8,000 pairs of trainers in just three days.
Today, D.A.T.E. continues to produce shoes that are the real news of the season.
